[Important] Notice regarding Future Payment Methods: Introduction of 3D Secure Payment

Please note: In order to promote safe card payments for our customers, we were planning to introduce 3D Secure for all payments on August 1st, but we will change the introduction date to the end of August.

Please contact your card company regarding the implementation of 3D Secure.

Currently, at the strong recommendation of our payment service provider, Stripe, we are requesting 3D Secure Payment under certain circumstances.

It is said that many online stores in Japan will introduce 3D Secure Payment by November of this year, and we plan to request 3D Secure Payment for all payments after August 1st, this year.

The world-famous credit card brands such as VISA, Mastercard, JCB and AMEX support 3D Secure Payment.

Our system is linked only with Stripe, and we appreciate your cooperation in order to continue transactions smoothly.

 

Please note: Even if your card supports 3D Secure, 3D Secure will not be activated unless you register an additional password known only to you.

 

- What is 3D Secure? 3D Secure is an authentication service for secure online card payment that is recommended by VISA, Mastercard, JCB and AMEX. “3D Secure” is the general term for authentication services provided by each card brands under different names.

 

- What are the advantages of 3D Secure? Easy, secure and safe card payment. Preventing fraudulent usages such as “spoofing” by credit card data theft. Providing a security by worldwide authentication service supported by 4 card brands, VISA, Mastercard, JCB and AMEX. Easy to start to use by registration of necessary information such as password to card issuer. Conventional online card payment can be processed by entering information printed on the card such as “credit card number” and “expiry date”. However, for use of 3D Secure enabled cards, “password only known by yourself” will be required for the authentication in addition to the information on the card. Therefore, it will prevent fraud usages such as “spoofing” by credit card data theft.
