Pricing
Costs that are always incurred:
- Item price
- 8mart service fee: JPY500 / item (Stock Keeping Unit basis)
- International shipping fee
* 8mart service fee is sufficient for normal requests.(More than 90% of requests have been categorized as normal requests so far.)
* We order items from all sorts of online Japanese stores, and will store them up to 20 unshipped items for free for up to 45 days.
We will pack multiple items with enough packing materials together.
* If you purchase multiple units of the same item from the same seller, it will be counted as one item.
* Please understand that the international shipping fee cannot be calculated accurately before receiving the ordered items, as the international shipping fee varies depending on the actual weight and the box size.
Our shipping fee calculator can be used to calculate the estimated international shipping fee.
Costs that are sometimes incurred:
- Taxes in Japan
- Domestic shipping fee
- Bank transfer fees incurred in Japan
- Optional service fees
- Customs duties
- Import taxes and fees
Costs that are never incurred:
- 8mart Registration fee
- 8mart Membership fee
- Standard packaging fees
- Costs relevant to consolidating multiple items
- Basic communications with the seller/consignor
* Please cooperate in requesting only the items you are willing to purchase.
If your purchase rate for requests is below 50% for more than 2 weeks, you may be charged for 8mart service fee up to 50%.
* Please understand that we may charge the item price first for complicated requests.
Optional Services
- Special requests (Pre-order item, Fast purchase, Price negotiation, Re-suggestion on the same collectible item with high price fluctuations, Shipping availability confirmation)
: ¥300 per request per item
- 8mart Authenticate: ¥2,000 per single item
- Cancellation of order(if possible): ¥3,000 per item or 10% of the item price, whichever is higher
- Extra storage fee(After the 20th unshipped item): ¥300 per item(calculated from 21st unshipped item)
- Extension storage fee(45 days after arrival at our warehouse): ¥50 per day per item(calculated from 46th day)
- Extreme Secure Packing: ¥1,000 per box
- Repacking of box once packed: ¥2,000 per box
- Express Shipment(Shipment on the day of receipt at the earliest): ¥1,000 per box
- Change of shipping address after being packed: ¥2,000 per box
- You may be able to apply for additional insurance for some international shipping methods.
Payment at 8mart is divided into two parts:
1st payment(Costs incurred at the time of purchasing items or successful bid):
- Item price
- 8mart service fee: JPY500 / item
- (Taxes in Japan)
- (Domestic shipping fee)
- (Bank transfer fees incurred in Japan)
* Costs in parentheses may not be charged depending on the type and price of the item.
2nd payment(Costs incurred at the time of international shipping or receiving items):
- International shipping fee
- (Optional service fees)
- (Customs duties)
- (Import taxes and fees)
* Costs in parentheses may not be charged depending on the type and price of the item.
* If you live in the UK and the declared value is £135 or less, we will collect 20% Value-Added Tax (VAT) on the item price and international shipping fee on your behalf based on the UK tax law.(Updated on Feb 20, 2023)
* If you live in Australia and the declared value is AUD 1,000 or less, we will collect 10% Goods & Service Tax (GST) on the item price and international shipping fee on your behalf based on the Australian tax law.
