Notice on VAT collection on shipments to the UK

Thank you for always using 8mart.

Until now, for our customers who currently reside in the UK, if you had a package with a declared value of £135 or less, we initially collected VAT on the total amount excluding the international shipping fee.
But effective after February 20th, 2023 (JST), as stipulated by the UK tax law we will begin collecting VAT on the total amount including the international shipping fee.

Please rest assured that if you’ve already paid for international shipping before February 19th, 2023 you will not be charged an unclaimed VAT.
