Notice Concerning the Handling of Importation of Low-Value Goods in Malaysia from January 2024

In Malaysia, effective from January 2024, LVG sold on an online platform or marketplace and brought into Malaysia by land, sea, or air, with a CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) value not exceeding MYR500 per consignment will be subject to sales tax of 10% of the product price.

However, currently, Habibi, Inc. does not fulfill the LVG registration requirements in Malaysia and, therefore, will not be registering for Sales Tax collection. As such, for purchases made through 8mart, we will not be collecting Sales Tax from our customers in Malaysia. Once we meet the registration criteria, we will initiate the LVG registration process and promptly inform you of the change.

Important Note:
Our not collecting Sales Tax does not exempt you from potential Sales Tax charges by customs or shipping service providers at the time of importation. For more detailed information, we recommend contacting RMCD directly.
