Notice Regarding International Shipping Fees in 2025
* As of December 27, there has been no announcement regarding changes to Japan Post's international shipping fees for next year.
Thank you for always choosing 8mart.
For packages with international shipping fees paid on or after December 27, there are planned price increases for international shipping via DHL and FedEx. DHL has announced an average price increase of 6.9% across all regions, with rates for destinations such as the United States, Canada, and Mexico increasing by up to approximately 31.2%.
While FedEx's rate increases are not as steep as DHL's, additional fees may apply for certain shipments. For example, shipments to the United States that include three or more items (even if the country of origin varies for each item) or items requiring FDA approval, such as food or cosmetics, may incur separate customs clearance fees or other charges.
For more details on potential additional fees that may arise during FedEx imports, please refer to the following page:

On the 8mart Shipping Fee Calculator, the standard rates as of the search date are displayed. Accordingly, new rates will be available starting January 1 (Wed) for DHL and January 6 (Mon) for FedEx. Please note that additional fees, such as Remote Area Surcharge, may apply depending on the ZIP code or city name.
8mart’s Recommendations to Avoid Unexpected Costs
1. Avoid including expensive items or a large number of items in a single package.
2. Consider using Japan Post's EMS as a shipping option, which, while slower than DHL or FedEx, can be more economical.
3. Delay shipping until February to avoid Demand Surcharge fees that apply during the peak season, which lasts through the end of January next year.
