[Important] Notice of Revision of International Postage Rates Effective October 1st, 2023
Thank you for always using 8mart.
We would like to inform you that starting from October 1st, 2023, the international ePacket rates will be revised based on the notice from Japan Post.
https://www.post.japanpost.jp/int/2023fee_revision_kokusai/index_en.html
For customers using 8mart, only the international shipping fee for ePacket*1 will be affected, resulting in an increase in shipping fees to all regions.
*1 The notice from Japan Post mentions "Revision 2: Discontinuation of International ePacket", but the Small Packets with Tracking (Registered Mail service) is essentially the same as ePacket.
Here are the specific changes*2 :
- Asia: Increase ranging from ¥120 to ¥720
- Oceania, Mexico, Middle East, Europe: Increase ranging from ¥180 to ¥1,320
- Central America except Mexico: Increase ranging from ¥220 to ¥2,880
- South America, Africa: Increase ranging from ¥190 to ¥1,710
- Guam and Saipan: Increase ranging from ¥140 to ¥1,660
*2 We also offer shipping via DHL and FedEx. As of today, if you are shipping a package weighing between 1.0 kg and 2.0 kg depending on the area, it is possible to ship it at a lower cost than ePacket.
The billed shipping fee will include the ¥460 registered mail fee, which is added to the rate table listed on the first page of this document.
For example, if you ship a 100g package to South Korea, the total fee will be ¥810. This consists of a ¥350 fee for 100g in Zone 1 and an additional ¥460 registered mail fee.
Please note that as of September 20th, 2023, major destination countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada are unable to use ePacket. Therefore, this notice does not affect customers residing in these destination countries.
For customers who plan to ship by ePacket, we recommend that you submit your shipment request and pay the international shipping fee by around September 27th.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
