Notice of Updated Quick Purchase Conditions for Mercari Items

Around this time last year, as part of our official partnership with Mercari, we launched the Quick Purchase feature for items listed on Mercari. This feature allows qualified Mercari items to be secured within seconds to a minute after payment is completed on 8mart, and it is available free of charge.

While this feature has worked smoothly in most cases, there have been instances where items suspected of being counterfeit or items ineligible for international shipping were automatically purchased. Therefore, we have introduced specific keywords to exclude certain items from Quick Purchase. These exclusions primarily include products like mobile batteries and perfumes, which have a high likelihood of being ineligible for international shipping. Due to this update, there may be instances where even items with extremely low risk are excluded from Quick Purchase and may be purchased according to the timeframe we have set. However, for the vast majority of our customers, the conditions for Quick Purchase will remain largely unchanged, and you can continue to enjoy the Quick Purchase free of charge as before.

To mitigate the risk of fraudulent sellers on Mercari exploiting the Quick Purchase conditions, we are unable to disclose the specific criteria under which Quick Purchase is applied. We kindly ask for your understanding in this matter.
