U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced that, effective February 24, 2026, it will suspend the collection of tariffs that were ruled unlawful by the U.S. Supreme Court. As a result, it appears that the previously applicable country-specific tariffs will be replaced by a uniform 15% tariff. However, authorities have clarified that this suspension does not affect other tariff measures, including those imposed under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act on national security grounds or Section 301 of the Trade Act targeting unfair trade practices.
